Public Transport Ontology for Passenger Information Retrieval
Passenger information aims at improving the user-friendliness of public transport systems while influencing passenger route choices to satisfy transit user’s travel requirements. The integration of transit information from multiple agencies is a major challenge in implementation of multi-modal passenger information systems. The problem of information sharing is further compounded by the multi-l...
متن کاملOntology-Based Query Formation and Information Retrieval
With the introduction of new technologies such as WAP, HSCSD, GPRS, UMTS, and Bluetooth, it is believed that the e-commerce arena will sooner or later merge its applications with handheld devices to create more opportunities for the birth of mobile commerce (m-commerce). However, m-commerce is largely unrealized to date because there still does not exist a single killer application that can att...
متن کاملOntology-Based Query Expansion Widget for Information Retrieval
In this paper we present an ontology-based query expansion widget which utilizes the ontologies published in the ONKI Ontology Service. The widget can be integrated into a web page, e.g. a search system of a museum catalogue, enhancing the page by providing a query expansion functionality. We have tested the system with general, domainspecific and spatio-temporal ontologies.
متن کاملOntology-Based Query Expansion for Supporting Information Retrieval in Agriculture
The demand for relevant knowledge related to effective and efficient agricultural development has increased tremendously recently in all over the world. The web can be considered as a distributed mass of simple hypertext pages and this gives rise not only to the redundancy of information but also difficulty in managing the relationship among the concepts of information. Thus, a formal way to re...
